Since 2001, Joe Hand Promotions has been the exclusive commercial distributor throughout the United States for the UFC. The family-owned company helps sports-oriented commercial establishments increase their sales by broadcasting the very popular UFC pay-per-view events.
"Since our grand opening in February 2011, Joe Hand Promotions and the UFC Pay-Per-View have been our most solid, consistent moneymaking promotional event, and it has only become stronger since the very first time we aired the UFC," said Bryan Shapiro, owner of Fat Tony's Grill and Sports Bar, Wichita KS. "The UFC Pay-Per-View events are not only a moneymaker for us, but it has greatly assisted in building customer loyalty, and that leads to what every successful bar and restaurant needs for longevity, repeat business."
And the next three UFC pay-per-view events expect to draw even more business with the potential of being the most-watched events in UFC history.
At UFC 166, the two best heavyweights in combat sports meet for the third time to settle the score when Cain Velasquez (12-1) defends his title against Junior dos Santos (16-2). USA Today says the trilogy fight "should be special."
On Saturday, Nov. 16, fan-favorite and welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre (24-2) takes on hard-punching Johny Hendricks (15-1) at UFC 167. GSP has won 11 straight dating back to 2007. Hendricks (15-1) owns a six-fight winning streak, three by first-round knockouts.
On Saturday, Dec. 28, the anticipated rematch between middleweight champion Chris Weidman (10-0) and Anderson Silva (33-5), probably the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, takes place at UFC 168. Plus, another heated rematch will help the UFC close out the year in style when women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (7-0) defends her crown against Miesha Tate (13-4).
"We love the UFC," said Tauna Berry Ellis of Layton Lokal's, Layton, UT. "It packs our place every time."
