UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation 'Taste for a Cure' Honors Comcast Entertainment Group President & CEO Ted Harbert

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation (JCCF) at UCLA hosts its 15th annual signature fundraiser, Taste for a Cure, Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. This year's event honors Comcast Entertainment Group President and CEO Ted Harbert with the Gil Nickel Humanitarian Award. Event co-chairs are Barbara Fairchild, Jon Holman, Larry Maguire, Jay Sures, and Dana Walden. Ryan Seacrest will present, Kevin Pollak is set as celebrity auctioneer and Lifehouse will perform.
This year's Taste for a Cure, an unparalleled, luxury wine and food tasting reception, celebrates "The Wines of Stags Leap District," world renowned for its signature Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Each of the 15 participating wineries will pour a Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2006 Appellation Collection, set to release in October 2010. Participating wineries include: Baldacci Family Vineyards, Chimney Rock Winery, Cliff Lede Vineyards, Clos Du Val, Ilsley Vineyards, Lindstrom Wines, Pine Ridge Vineyards, Robert Sinskey Vineyards, Robinson Family Vineyards, Silverado Vineyards, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, Stags' Leap Winery, Steltzner Vineyards, Taylor Family Vineyards and Terlato Family Vineyards. Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel and Dolce, long-time event supporting wineries, will serve as honorary wine partners. Wines will be paired with signature dishes from Los Angeles eateries exemplifying the downtown restaurant revival, including Bottega Louie, Church & State, Lazy Ox Canteen, Patina and Rivera. This event has featured the best in food, wine and entertainment in support of the fight against cancer.
