UBM TechWeb Brands Win Multiple min's 2010 Best of the Web Awards
InformationWeek, InformationWeek Analytics, Internet Evolution, and Interop All Recognized For Outstanding Creativity and Innovation
NEW YORK, May 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- UBM TechWeb (www.ubmtechweb.com) announced today that it won six awards in min's annual Best of the Web Awards, which recognizes and honors outstanding Web sites and digital initiatives among consumer and b2b magazines. The winners were announced at an awards breakfast in New York City on April 28th.
UBM TechWeb's InformationWeek, InformationWeek Analytics, Internet Evolution, and Interop grabbed top honors across multiple categories:
- InformationWeek for "Best Integration with Print" – InformationWeek (www.informationweek.com) was recognized for integration between its magazine and InformationWeek Analytics' web site (www.analytics.informationweek.com). According to min's, "Creating a seamless link between print and digital platforms has been a dream of publishing throughout the last decade, but few publishers have devoted the resources and editorial focus it takes to move readers effortlessly across pages and sites. UBM TechWeb's InformationWeek publication and the InformationWeek Analytics Web site took up the challenge and delivered on the promise of continuous media."
- InformationWeek for "Best Virtual Trade Show" – InformationWeek's The Business Case for Windows 7 virtual event was named co-winner of this category and cited by min's as "thoughtfully designed to address a pressing need for a resource that was organized and efficiently presented for IT professionals." - Internet Evolution named as one of the "Most Engaged Media Brands" – According to min's, Internet Evolution (www.internetevolution.com) has "become one of the grandest experiments in business publishing in recent years. Originally a think tank of sorts where leading lights of tech and Web thinking could meet in an open format of exchange with readers, it has blossomed into something more."
- Internet Evolution for "Best Ad Program/Partnership" (co-winner) – Internet Evolution (www.internetevolution.com) was recognized for its outstanding partnership with IBM. Honored as an example of a true win-win marketing partnership, min's says the partnership is "one of the clearest demonstrations of the power of the true sponsor."
- Internet Evolution for "Overall Use of Video" (co-winner) – Internet Evolution (www.internetevolution.com) has fully integrated video as part of its blog postings with its "vblogs"; IETV is cited by min's as being positively farsighted in serving up its videos dynamically onto pages based on context and the viewer's registration profile.
- Interop named "In-Box Award" Winner – Interop New York (www.interop.com) 2009's e-letter campaign to drive attendance was honored for being especially adept at bringing its content and marketing partners closer to readers via email. Interop's 6-month campaign exceed all expectations, resulting in over $250,000 in revenue.
"We're thrilled to see so many of our brands being recognized by the industry for innovation and excellence. It's a great testament to our people," said Tony Uphoff, CEO of UBM TechWeb. "These min's Best of the Web awards highlight the focus we have on creativity across UBM TechWeb brands and media platforms, while underlining the value of integration across print, web, video, research, events, and email."
