UBM TechInsights Expands Presence in the Medical Devices Sector

OTTAWA, Ontario, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM TechInsights is pleased to announce it has hired Gary Johnson as the new Vice President, Business Development, Medical Devices. In this role Mr. Johnson will be responsible for the continued expansion of company's business in the Medical Devices sector.

Mr. Johnson comes to UBM TechInsights from Texas Instruments where he worked for the past three years as Global Medical Sales Manager.  In that role he led the strategy and business development of the company's entry in to the Implantable Medical market creating partnerships with key accounts that resulted in valuable design wins.

Prior to Texas Instruments Mr. Johnson served as Director of Medical Business Development at AMI Semiconductor where he managed the business development activities of their top medical customers.  He also worked with the engineering and medical business units to map new product technology roadmaps to short and long term sales objectives.  Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Science - Electrical Engineering from the University of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
