UBM Announces Free Educational Content at Texas Advanced Manufacturing Tradeshow

UBM Canon's Texas Advanced Manufacturing Expo will provide Houston area manufacturers the most comprehensive tradeshow and professional development conference in 2013. This year's event features the brand-new Tech Theater on the expo hall surrounded by co-located shows that offer solutions for every industry: TexasPack for the packaging industry, ATX Texas for automation, AeroCon for aviation and defense, PLASTEC Texas for plastics, PBS Texas for process technology, and Design & Manufacturing. The two day exposition and conference will be held October 15-16, 2013 at the Reliant Center in Houston.
"Our expo hall floor will allow attendees to not only access over 350 exhibitors, but also provides the opportunity to learn about new technology and topics that personally interest them in the Tech Theater," explained Louise Challis, UBM Canon Conference Director. The Tech Theater focuses on the latest broad-based technological innovations.
The Tech Theater will feature a keynote by Mayur Ahuja, Deputy Director of Engineering for Jacobs Engineering Group. He will be presenting "NASA's view of future technology and materials needs" and will outline how the private sector can provide specialized research and develop new materials for NASA. Other topics over the three days include: 3D printing, product teardowns including the new iPhones, how robots are bringing manufacturing jobs back to the United States as well as a look into the "state of the powder bulk solids industry".
The Tech Theater will also highlight a session on the workforce, geography and industry challenges in Texas. Panelists include: Elizabeth Carlton, Director of Marketing of the Temple Economic Development Corporation; Shawn A. Kirkpatrick, Executive Director of the Levelland Economic Development Corporation; and Bradley Ford, Director of the City of Burleson, Texas. Joe Florkowski, Managing Editor of Powder/Bulk Solids will moderate the panel discussion and direct audience questions.
Other educational presentations in the Tech Theater will be given by EHS Solutions, Synergy Resources, WEH Technologies Inc., REMBE, GmbH, and Jenike & Johanson.
