Ubiquity Global Services Announces Hiring Of Cheryl Slipski

NEW YORK, March 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ubiquity Global Services, a services organization with deep expertise in the financial services and payments space, today announced that Cheryl Slipski has joined the organization as its executive vice president. In addition to serving as the company's general counsel, Slipski will manage and significantly grow Ubiquity's risk management services division, which provides banks and other financial services organizations a wide variety of loss mitigation services, including identity verification, fraud detection and disputes management. 

The announcement is in keeping with Ubiquity's rapid pace of expansion. Slipski brings the organization a capacity for greatly enhanced legal oversight along with significant expertise in risk management services. A well-respected lawyer in the payments industry, Slipski had most recently worked for Google's payments division.

Prior to working for Google, Slipski served as the executive vice president and general counsel for TxVia, Inc. from 2009 until TxVia's acquisition by Google in 2012.  Slipski was a partner at Woodcock Washburn, a leading law firm specializing in intellectual property law (2007-2009).  She has also served as a board member of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association (NBPCA) from 2011 to 2012.
