Ubee Ships Over 2 Million DOCSIS 3.0 Units
DENVER, March 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ubee Interactive announced today that it has surpassed the 2 million mark on DOCSIS 3.0 units shipped worldwide. This illustrates a 100% growth rate in half a year as Ubee declared the 1 million mark in August 2010.
As of February 24th, CableLabs has certified 37 D3 modems from 15 suppliers as well as 19 eMTAs from eight equipment makers. Ubee Interactive leads the pack with 10 approved devices.
"The Cable Operators continue to take the lead in the broadband access race," says Maria Popo, Americas President. "Commercial is one of the most exciting growth areas particularly after recent launches of new D3 100Mbps services."
DOCSIS 3.0 products and services enable cable operators to provide ultra high-speed broadband access to both residential and small to medium sized business customers at new performance levels that optimize the Internet experience. Ubee has developed state of the art DOCSIS 3.0 commercial routers, cable modems, eMTAs and advanced wireless gateways with and without voice.
Dr. Lin, CEO at Ubee states, "A mega trend is having WiFi capabilities integrated into DOCSIS 3.0 devices.
