MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J., Dec. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- U-Haul has acquired and refurbished a storage facility at 2341 Route 70 to offer additional convenience in central New Jersey with the opening of U-Haul Moving & Storage of Manchester.
The property features six single-level buildings on 5.82 acres with more than 35,000 net rentable square feet of self-storage. Customers have access to 321 indoor storage units – 96 are climate-controlled units. There are 176 outdoor, drive-up storage units.
U-Haul also offers moving supplies at the store, which opened for business on June 29.
"Currently, we serve most of the senior communities since we are in the heart of Ocean County's senior gated developments," general manager Pamela Eckert said. "U-Haul is a trusted storage solution and many customers are referred by friends and neighbors. It is clean, dry and very secure with on-site personnel for added security – and with a very friendly atmosphere."
Upgrades to security will soon be accompanied by new intercom systems and signage. With a location on Route 70, customers have quick access to Lakewood, Lakehurst and Tom Rivers.
"I am excited to provide a level of service that all customers deserve, within the community of Manchester in addition to surrounding communities, U-Haul Company of Central New Jersey president Jared Merlin said. "We aim for top notch results when it comes to customer service."
For customers in Manchester Township seeking truck and trailer rentals, U-Box portable moving and self-storage containers, and additional U-Haul products and services, U-Haul Moving & Storage at Route 9 is less than three miles away at 2180 Route 9 in Toms River. There also are many dedicated U-Haul neighborhood dealers in the area.
The acquisition of the Manchester store was driven by U-Haul Company's Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul® supports infill development to help local communities lower their carbon footprint. Our adaptive reuse of existing buildings reduces the amount of energy and resources required for new-construction materials and helps cities reduce their unwanted inventory of unused buildings.
