U-Haul Store in South Dayton Closing Its Doors

MORAINE, Ohio, Dec. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- U-Haul of South Dayton at 2478 Dryden Road in Moraine is closing today after more than 41 years in business.

Plans call for the store, located just minutes southwest of the University of Dayton along Interstate 75, to remain in U-Haul® possession and be leased to a new tenant. The 3,509-square-foot building sits on a 1.57-acre lot.

Moraine residents, UD students and the South Dayton community will continue to have their moving and self-storage needs met at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Miamisburg at 234 Springboro Pike, five miles south of the Dryden Road location.

The Miamisburg store opened in 2015. It offers 750 self-storage units (including interior climate-control, interior heated and exterior drive-up options) at affordable price points. The store also features moving supplies, towing accessories and professional hitch installation, U-Box portable storage containers, propane and used box trucks for sale.

Two U-Haul neighborhood dealers in Moraine continue to offer truck and trailer sharing: Slone's Automotive at 4710 S. Dixie Drive and K&R Supermarket at 3351 Main St.

U-Haul began serving do-it-yourself movers at U-Haul of South Dayton in 1977. Prior to 1977, the location was home to a Texaco® gas station. Three Team Members will be let go as a result of the store closing.
