The Mendenhall Road U-Haul Storage Center will be selling a wide variety of environmentally friendly packing supplies: boxes made out of recyclable materials, 100 percent biodegradable packing peanuts and moving pads made from recycled denim. Also on site will be a Take A Box/Leave a Box display, which allows customers or anyone in the community to leave moving boxes or unwanted electronics boxes for another customer to reuse for free, instead of throwing them away or recycling them.
"We are pleased to be increasing our visibility and updating the look of the Mendenhall Road U-Haul Storage Center, and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with the local community in Memphis" stated Carol George, president of U-Haul Company of Memphis. "Moreover, this expansion will allow us to be better equipped to meet our customers' current and future needs," George added.

Today, that background is central to the U-Haul Sustainability Program: "Serving the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Our commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle includes fuel efficient moving vans, neighborhood proximity, moving-box reuse, moving pads made from discarded material, and packing peanuts that are 100 percent biodegradable.
