U-Haul Storage at Fall River at I-195, purchased from Lewiston Street Storage, is located at 110 Lewiston Street in Fall River and stands on a 4.7-acre lot. The site features 10 single-story metal self-storage buildings and one single-story rental office, for a total of 65,450 square feet of net rentable space. The self-storage facility has a total of 618 rooms with 264 climate controlled units. Extended office hours, 24-hour electronically controlled access and drive-up loading/unloading are just some of the features that will make this a go-to location for the surrounding neighborhood.
U-Haul Storage at Rockdale, purchased from Storage Center New Bedford, is located at 99 Rockdale Avenue in New Bedford. The four-story red-brick building offers more than 52,880 net usable square footage and includes 557 climate-controlled self-storage rooms. The indoor storage is under 24-hour video monitoring, which offers surveillance protection for its customers. The Fall River site also offers free use of loading carts and oversized elevators which makes this facility convenient for customers.
"We are thrilled to help meet the moving and self-storage needs of local Bay Staters," stated Pete Olio, president, U-Haul Company of Rhode Island.
"As a company that has been serving families since 1945, we know our customers will trust the new U-Haul team when looking for a self-storage provider," Olio continued. "To help build this confidence, customers who rent a U-Haul moving van, trailer or U-Box moving pod for a one-way move can now enjoy one month of free storage before or after their move," he noted.
Both facilities will offer the traditional equipment truck and trailer rentals but also will be selling a wide variety of environmentally friendly packing supplies: boxes made out of recyclable materials, 100 percent biodegradable packing peanuts and moving pads made from recycled denim. Also on site will be a Take a Box/Leave a Box display, which allows customers or anyone in the community to leave moving boxes or unwanted electronic boxes for the next customer to reuse for free, instead of throwing them away or recycling them.
Customers can rent storage from U-Haul owned storage facilities across the United States and Canada by calling their neighborhood U-Haul center or by visiting uhaul.com or contacting U-Haul Reservation System, at 1-800-GO-UHAUL.
