U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Self-Storage to Silicon Valley Flood Victims

SAN JOSE, Feb. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- U-Haul Company of South Bay is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents of San Jose and surrounding areas who have been or will be impacted by flooding.

Silicon Valley has taken on extensive water due to a breach in Coyote Creek. Some communities have been evacuated, creating the need for safe, secure and dry self-storage options where people can keep their possessions.

U-Haul Company of South Bay is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents of San Jose and surrounding areas who have been or will be impacted by flooding.

"Coyote Creek has been spilling over and causing real damage," U-Haul Company of South Bay president Kam Barn said. "Highway 101 was closed down and about 50,000 people are being ordered to evacuate. U-Haul is part of these communities and we are privileged to help these families in times of disaster by offering self-storage options at no charge for 30 days."

People looking to assist those impacted by the floods can drop off food and clothing items at any of the U-Haul stores listed below.
