SOMERVILLE, Mass., Dec. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- U-Haul Company of Boston is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents of Cambridge who lost their homes or were impacted by the 10-alarm fire on Saturday.
The offer is being extended at two U-Haul-owned and -operated facilities located in Cambridge and Somerville.
"This was one of worst fires in Cambridge in decades," said Jorge White, U-Haul Company of Boston president. "A lot of residents were displaced. This is their time of need, especially during the holiday season.
"The GM of our Cambridge store is a lifelong resident and the fire was less than a block from his mother's house, and less than five blocks from our facility. This impacts him. He wants to help. U-Haul wants to be there for these members of our community."
