PORT ORCHARD, Wash., Sept. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The U-Haul store on Olney Avenue ceased operations on Sept. 8 after just a couple of months, Area District Vice President Kim Merow confirmed.
U-Haul Moving & Storage of Port Orchard at 1353-1397 Olney Ave. opened earlier this summer but had its lease halted after being unable to obtain an extension on its contract to purchase the property. The U-Haul location had been offering truck and trailer rentals, moving supplies and boxes, with plans for additional services.
Customers of the Port Orchard facility can find a full line of U-Haul products and services less than 10 miles away by automobile, north of Sinclair Inlet, at 2804 Kitsap Way in Bremerton.
U-Haul Moving & Storage of Bremerton offers truck and trailer rentals; 103 self-storage units (95 indoor units with climate-control options; eight drive-up units) with 24-hour access available and state-of-the-art security; moving supplies; boxes; towing equipment and professional hitch installation; U-Box portable moving and self-storage containers; propane and more. Contact this location at (306) 479-5710.
There are two U-Haul neighborhood dealers in Port Orchard serving the community with truck and trailer rentals and moving supplies: Arrowwood Mini Storage at 6530 SE Mile Hill Drive and ABC Storage at 1616 SE Van Skiver Road.
Local U-Haul Companies are always exploring opportunities for growth but sometimes close or relocate stores for reasons such as long-term strategic plans; physical plant limitations; shifts in demographics; trends in migration; expansion of the U-Haul neighborhood dealer network; and the proximity of other new or existing U-Haul stores.
