U-Haul Adds New Flavor to Martins' Twist N Turn Ice Cream Parlor

Erika and her husband, Michael Martin, give their rural community 24 miles northeast of Albuquerque a terrific spot to take the family for an evening. Martins' Twist N Turn also is a popular destination for groups in search of a sugar fix while on a weekend excursion.

The Martins, along with their 22-year-old daughter, Alyssa, intend to make sure that everyone who stops in has his or her fill of fun.

Martins' Twist-N-Turn is located at the base of Sandia Crest and the Martins wanted to center their business on the tourist crowd.

"Ice cream is something we always did with the family," Erika said. "We would go for a walk, take the dog and get ice cream."

Becoming a U-Haul neighborhood dealer has allowed the Martins to serve the entire community – from the local farmers to retirees, Erika noted.
