Tyber Medical Adds Surgeon Advisors

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tyber Medical, a privately held medical device company focused on developing innovative spine and orthopaedic devices for private label opportunities, announces the addition of Ira Fedder, MD and R. Douglas Orr, MD as surgeon advisors.

Ira Fedder, MD is a fellowship trained orthopaedic spine surgeon at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center and Towson Orthopedics Associates.  Dr. Fedder received his medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed post graduate training at University Hospital and Saint Joseph Medical Center. He is experienced in all aspects of spine and neck problems including the treatment of cervical disc herniation, myelopathy, cervical stenosis, lumbar stenosis, sciatica, lumbar disc herniation, tumors, and infections. Dr. Fedder has authored numerous publications and was named to the 2012-2013 Baltimore Top Doctors List.

R. Douglas Orr, MD, is a Staff physician in the Center for Spine Health and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Orr's practice interests include adult spine surgery, including deformity and minimally invasive surgery. In addition, his research interests include outcomes in spinal surgery, spinal biomechanics and biomaterials. He joined the Cleveland Clinic from Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation, Hamilton General Division in Ontario where he was a staff member for the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also served as the assistant clinical professor of surgery at McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario) and was previously the site chief of orthopaedics at the Hamilton General Site Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation. Dr. Orr has authored numerous publications and presentations for medical journals and conferences across the country and in Canada.
