Two Plan Bay Area 2040 Open Houses Remaining for San Francisco and Marin Counties
OAKLAND, Calif., May 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) invite the public to open houses in San Francisco on Wednesday, May 13, and in San Rafael on Thursday, May 28, to learn about an update to the region's long-range transportation and housing roadmap known as Plan Bay Area.
Bay Area residents who attend these open houses will have the opportunity to view displays and offer comments on long-term goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from cars and light-duty trucks, house the region's projected population, improve public health, maintain the region's transportation infrastructure and preserve open space, among others. Displays will also feature the schedule and key milestones for the plan update, offer information on how new housing and employment is forecast, and provide information on transportation improvements in the works at the county and regional level.

- San Francisco City & County: Wednesday, May 13, 2015, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Hotel Whitcomb, 1231 Market Street, San Francisco
- Marin County: Thursday, May 28, 2015, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Marin County Civic Center Cafe, 3501 Civic Center Drive, 2nd Floor, San Rafael
The meetings in San Francisco and Marin counties are the final two open houses in a series that has been held in all nine Bay Area counties since April 29.
