TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Drives Record Growth and Earnings in Q3
Franchise System Maintains 58 Straight Months of Growth; Signs 21st Location for 2014
LANSING, Mich., Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, the franchising industry's leading moving services brand, reported double-digit revenue growth in its September-ended third quarter and enters the fourth quarter with confidence after achieving 42 months of record sales growth over the past five years.
Wrapping up the third quarter, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® reported $108,984,446 in total revenue, an approximate 15 percent increase over last year. Through the end of September the company is at 58 months of consecutive growth.
"Our strong third quarter performance reflects the continued success of our franchise model and demonstrates the strength of our system and the core business," said Jeff Wesley, chief financial officer of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. "We have repeatedly outperformed in revenue year-over-year, and we look forward to achieving success in Q4 with our dedicated team of colleagues and franchisees."
Through the first three quarters of this year, the brand hit a record 21 signings for new locations, an increase from 18 through the entirety of 2013. To keep up with this increasing demand, the brand and its franchisees are looking to hire an additional 900 employees in the fourth quarter alone. Building on this momentum, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® aims to surpass its 2013 final revenue numbers by posting a system-wide revenue goal of $360 million by year-end, in addition to signing a total of 30 franchisees in top development markets such as New Jersey, Washington, Southern California, Texas, and Oregon.
Recently, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® completed an extensive expansion of the Home Office in Lansing, Mich. The $8,000,000 investment in the newly renovated 50,000 square-foot extension and existing facility is now better equipped to handle additional team members and a brand new sales center to increase customer service response time.
To further keep up with growth and demand, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® beyond adding additional team members and locations will continue investing in operations and marketing automation software to systemize processes and uphold corporate-customer relationships.
"We're very pleased TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® continues to deliver excellent service to our customers and reporting the strongest sales we've ever seen as a brand," said Randy Shacka, President of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. "This extraordinary growth is made possible by our innovative culture and team members both at our corporate office and within the franchise operations and the significant investment in our people, who will play a pertinent role in the company reaching more milestones in 2015."
With 298 domestic locations and 24 international locations, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® continues its expansion in the global market by introducing innovative technology system-wide, improving existing operational systems, and employing dedicated staff throughout the expanding franchise network.
