SAN DIEGO, Dec. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mor Furniture for Less has wrapped up the 2011 Kids & Teens Back-2-School Video Contest and has awarded the 1st Place prize to not one, but two top entries. One of the two winners, competing for his El Cajon, California, Lakeside Farms Elementary School, is a talented 7-year-old named Trevor Payne. The other winner is Annaileen De Santiago, a spirited young lady in Fresno, California who has won for Mission Valley Elementary School.

The object of the contest was to create a short YouTube video about Mor Kids & Teens Furniture Stores. Mor Furniture for Less would then choose from the videos that received the most votes to pick a winner and award a $2,500 cash prize for their school and $1,000 in Kids & Teens furniture for the kid who created the video. After enjoying the quality of the entries and the enthusiasm of the voters Mor Furniture for Less decided to double the award and choose two winners.
Annaileen De Santiago's entry is a 26-second video of her energetic cheer performance for Mor Furniture, in which she says, "Mor Furniture is exactly what you need! That's where I got my bed, desk, bookcases, and lots, lots more!" The Fresno community turned out every day to support Annaileen and her school.
Trevor Payne's entry was a clever 62-second narrative in which the creative young man tours his sub-par bedroom furniture. A young Indiana Jones cracks a whip as he says "If I win, my school will win $2500! That means I can be a hero for my school!" Trevor's video also received great support from the El Cajon Valley community of Lakeside in San Diego County.
Mor Furniture for Less was honored by the videos that were submitted and by the involvement of the friends and family of both entries on the Mor Furniture Facebook page. After an extensive judging phase, Mor Furniture for Less determined that both kids are heroes for their schools.
The prizes will be presented in the following weeks at both winners' public elementary schools, which will be a welcomed boost for the schools' budgets in these economic times. Both kids will be able to choose from dozens of kids' beds, dressers and mattresses for their new bedroom furniture at our Fresno furniture and San Diego furniture stores.
