In addition, Mr. Pagnato and Mr. Saperstein were also included by Barron's in its rankings of the "Top 100 Financial Advisors" and "Top 1000 Financial Advisors by State" for 2013.
The Barron's compilation recognizes independent advisors who are positively influencing the financial services industry. Rankings are established according to criteria including revenue, assets under management and practice quality.
"We are proud of the recognition from Barron's and see it as a tremendous validation of our model, which creates multiple paths to independence for sophisticated advisors," said Mike Papedis, executive vice president. "We provide a mix of autonomy and centralized support that mitigates operational and administrative overhead, enabling our teams to focus on achieving the goals of their clients."
The listing of Mr. Pagnato and Mr. Saperstein among the "Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors" for 2013 is the most recent honor Barron's has bestowed on HighTower. In June, Pamela Rosenau, HighTower Managing Director and Equity Market Strategist as well as Chief Investment Officer of HighTower's New York, NY-based The Rosenau Group, was ranked 14th on the Barron's 2013 list of the "Top 100 Women Financial Advisors."
Mr. Pagnato spent 19 years with Merrill Lynch, where he established the firm's Private Banking & Investment office in Washington, DC, before he joined HighTower in August 2011. The Pagnato-Karp Group, which specializes in meeting the unique needs of the country's wealthiest individuals and their families, oversees more than $2 billion in client assets.
Mr. Saperstein joined HighTower in April 2009 after J.P. Morgan acquired his previous employer, Bear Stearns, where he and his team founded and managed the firm's Cash Management Group. Mr. Saperstein has worked in the financial services industry for more than 30 years, and Barron's has included him in its "Top 100 Financial Advisors" list every year since 2004. Treasury Partners provides conservative cash and wealth management services to private and corporate clients, and oversees $7.2 billion in client assets.
