Two From Houston's Lanier Law Firm Highlighted in 2011 Texas Super Lawyers Listing

HOUSTON, Sept. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lanier Law Firm is pleased to announce that two attorneys from the firm's Houston office have earned spots on the 2011 Texas Super Lawyers listing.

Firm founder Mark Lanier is featured for the ninth consecutive year as one of the state's top lawyers. He is joined in this year's list by Kevin Parker, an experienced appellate lawyer at The Lanier Law Firm for more than 15 years.

Mr. Lanier earned special recognition this year for his work in class action and mass tort law, ranking among the Top 100 attorneys in Texas for the seventh time. He previously has been featured among the state's Top 10 attorneys three times, and has been highlighted on The National Law Journal's listing of "The Decade's Most Influential Lawyers" and on Texas Lawyer newspaper's guide to "The 25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter-Century." Head of The Lanier Law Firm's Issues and Appeals section, Mr. Parker earned his first-ever Texas Super Lawyers designation in 2011. To determine the 2011 Texas Super Lawyers honorees, researchers from Thomson Reuters' legal division surveyed more than 70,000 attorneys across Texas. A blue-ribbon panel of lawyers assisted the researchers with final selections and fewer than five percent of all Texas attorneys earned the distinction.
