Two Fines Approved By the PA Gaming Control Board
HARRISBURG, Pa., June 7, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today levied fines for violations by licensees totaling $185,000.
The fines were the result of Board approvals at its public meeting of consent agreements between the PGCB's Office of Enforcement Counsel and:
- Presque Isle Downs, Inc., operator of Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie County, along with Affiliate Licensee Eldorado Resorts, Inc., which was fined $150,000 for unapproved agreements and unlicensed employees; and,
- Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., operator of the Parx Casino in Bucks County, which was fined $35,000 for underage gaming violations.
DETAILS
The fine against Presque Isle Downs, Inc. and Eldorado Resorts, Inc. stemmed from multiple violations including unapproved corporate fee and shared services agreements, along with permitting five Principal Employees and nine Gaming Employees to perform their duties without valid Gaming Employee Permits, pending applications on file with the Board, and the requisite temporary authorization by the Board.
The fine against Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, Inc., was for two incidents in which it failed to prevent underage access to the gaming floor of Parx Casino:
- A 20-year-old female gained access onto the gaming floor and wagered at a table game; and,
- A 20-year-old female gained access onto the gaming floor on two occasions and wagered at slot machines.
The next meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the PGCB's Public Hearing Room located on the second floor of Strawberry Square in Harrisburg.
