LEEDS, England, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- We know it feels like a looong time ago now but we thought we'd update you on what's happening with the fantastic Valentine's Day poems you wrote and submitted as part of our Twittermantic competition back in February.
We asked you to tweet your best love poem in 140 characters or less and we had a fantastic response. You soppy lot submitted hundreds of romantic rhymes and due to the high standard we had a difficult task trying to whittle them down to the final 14 and then to eventually decide on the overall winner.
But after much deliberating the lucky winner of the competition was chosen and Mazz Mullarky from London was crowned the most passionate poet! Not only did Mazz's literary talents win her a luxury weekend break, but she also won the opportunity to get her winning poem made into a real Hallmark Valentine's card! The winning rhyme was:
"My heart is as big as a lake, my love as deep as the ocean,
13 years now, I will always give you my devotion." madbird32
Right now we're just beginning to start working on our Valentine's Day 2011 range of personalised cards to bring a little love to your lives...and one of these cards will be extra-special for Mazz, as it will feature her fantastic poem. This card, along with the rest of our brand new Valentine's Day cards, will be available on the website from January so straight after Christmas (after you've sent your Thank You cards that is!) you can start to search for the perfect card for your Valentine. You can even add photos and pet names to make it really unique!
Our personalised Valentine's cards cover every stage of relationship so whether you've got your eye on someone and want to send a secret admirer card, or you're in the romantic honeymoon period, or you've been with your other half for years, we've got the perfect Valentine's card with the perfect message of love.
At Hallmark we realise that it's not flowers and chocolates all the time and that sometimes the one you love is also the one that drives you crazy and so we reflect real relationships through our designs and words. Don't be surprised to see the odd mention of socks on the floor, after all that is real life! So, I'm gonna get my act together early this year and look for a card for my Valentine in January...despite the socks on the floor!
