Twin Cities-Based Non-Profit Organizations Participate in PDI Ninth House Active Leader Workshop

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PDI Ninth House, a provider of leadership solutions to corporations around the world, brought its expertise to 20 Minneapolis and Saint Paul-based non-profit organizations in a two-day Active Leader workshop. Based on a realistic, large-scale business simulation, the Active Leader workshop provided the participants with valuable development experience, including a better understanding of their individual leadership potential and how to maximize it for organizational success.

Area business executives nominated the 20 participating non-profit leaders for the workshop, which took place at PDI Ninth House's Minneapolis headquarters. Participants first underwent a 360-degree review process and received feedback during the workshop. The non-profit leaders then took part in the real-world business simulation and divided into three teams. Each team was assigned a coach, who reviewed a fictional case study with the team and then worked with them to develop recommendations, strategic actions, and appropriate internal and external communications.

Throughout the workshop, each participant provided feedback and received coaching, and ultimately gained valuable leadership experience. Additionally, participants left the workshop with a specific development plan, along with leadership techniques and tools to be used within their organization.
