Twenty Community Organizations Come Together to Provide Free Health Services for South Central L.A. Community
The Prevention In Action Family Health Fair Underwritten by Grant From Clorox

WHAT: |
With diabetes, obesity and heart disease among the leading causes of health problems for Latinos, there is a growing need for health education and awareness. The South Central Family Health Clinic and the Huntington Park Family Health Clinic have teamed up with 20 other community organizations to offer free health services to the people of Los Angeles. |

Some of the free tests provided in this two-day event include glucose, blood pressure and anemia screenings. There also will be a Q & A session where families can get direct advice from nationally recognized health expert, Dra. Aliza Lifshitz. |

The health fair will be a mix of education and fun, including a Latin dance exercise demonstration that promotes healthy weight-loss by combining an aerobic workout with salsa, samba and bachata, as well as games and prizes for the entire family. |
