TVEyes Awarded Patent for Extraction of Social Media Tags and Handles from Broadcast Television and Video

FAIRFIELD, Conn., Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TVEyes was assigned U.S. patent 9,148,675 SYSTEM FOR SOCIAL MEDIA TAG EXTRACTION for the invention by David J. Ives, James H. Hayter, Maxim Oei and David B. Seltzer of a system to extract media tags in broadcast television and Internet video, making it possible to search video for these tags and to monitor and measure the social media impact of these tags after they appear in video. The patent was originally applied for on June 5, 2013. The patent was granted on September 29, 2015 and may be read in its entirety at this link at the USPTO.
