LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The first season of TV Land's critically-acclaimed "Hot in Cleveland" ended on a high note. The series finale, which stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White, averaged over 4 million viewers according to the Nielsen Company. The "Hot in Cleveland" finale delivered a Live +3 rating of 2.1 in Adults 25-54 and 2.8 in Women 25-54 which is more than a +20% increase over the previous week's episode.
Throughout the 10-episode run, "Hot in Cleveland" averaged a 1.5 among Adults 18-49, 2.0 among Adults 25-54 and 2.5 among Women 25-54 and delivered 4.2 million total viewers according to Nielsen's Most Current Ratings. To date, the series has reached 33 million people. Presently, it is the #1 cable sitcom of the year. In its first season, "Hot in Cleveland" out-delivered shows like "Mad Men," "Real Housewives of New Jersey," "Top Chef," "Bethenny Getting Married," "Project Runway," "Army Wives," "Nip/Tuck," "Men of a Certain Age," "Ice Road Truckers" among many others in total viewers. Produced by Hazy Mills Productions, the show will begin production of a second season in November 2010 with 20 new episodes scheduled to air beginning in January 2011.

The series ranks among the top five on the list of television's most-watched summer programs with 1.7 million viewers and delivered a series high 1.8 million viewers for its most recent episode.
In Australia, "Hot in Cleveland" has averaged over 1.1 million viewers for the first five episodes which is the U.S. equivalent of 14.6 million total viewers. Australia's Nine Network is also seeing a strong performance in its key demographic of A25-54.
