From October 19 to October 25, participants in the in-game treasure hunt can win tournament-grade Turtle Beach Ear Force XP SEVEN headsets with custom Borderlands 2 speaker plates as prizes.

The tournament-grade XP SEVEN is the official headset of Major League Gaming (MLG), it features Dolby® Surround Sound and a fully programmable digital signal processor (DSP). The programmable DSP allows users to enhance their gaming experience with personalized game and chat settings that can be changed on the fly to maximize performance in changing game scenarios.

Players that win an XP SEVEN can choose from an assortment of custom Borderlands 2 Swappable Speaker Plates featuring their favorite character from Pandora, such as Claptrap, Maya, Axton, Zero, Salvador, Mad Moxxi, Tiny Tina and others, or classic characters like Lilith, Mordecai, Brick and Roland. Borderlands 2 publisher 2K and developer Gearbox Software announced that participants killed more than 15,000,0000 enemies to score nearly 1,000,000 pieces of loot during the first week of the sweepstakes. The week two cash prize is up to $10,000, not to mention that players can still take a shot at winning the $50,000 grand prize. Players did not have to participate in week one of the sweepstakes in order to have a chance to win week two's prizes, or to take a crack at the grand prize.
