OAKLAND, Calif., May 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Turnitin®, the leader in improving how students write and learn, today announced two executive appointments to strengthen Turnitin's leadership team as it widens its product offering and expands globally. Marc Daubach, formerly corporate vice president and general manager of Europe for Ex Libris Group, is joining Turnitin as corporate vice president of international. Ron Park, an experienced Silicon Valley technology executive, will serve as chief technology officer and senior vice president of engineering and operations.

Marc Daubach will lead the company's strategy and sales efforts across all geographies outside of North America. Turnitin currently serves over 15,000 customers in 140 countries. Most recently, Marc served as corporate vice president and general manager, Europe for Ex Libris Group, a leading provider of library automation solutions. Marc joined Ex Libris in 1995 as a salesperson and rose through the organization to help oversee sales, product and business development efforts. He began his career with Computer Associates, serving in roles in the United States and Japan. Marc has an analyst programmer degree from the Ecole Superieure d'Informatique de Seraing, in Belgium, and a master's degree in software engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, in London. Marc is based in London, United Kingdom.
Ron Park will be based in Oakland, CA and will be responsible for technology strategy, product development and global network operations. Most recently, Ron served as senior vice president of engineering at Reliance Communications, the leading emergency notifications SaaS provider for the K-12 market. He previously served as CTO and senior vice president of product development at Scientific Learning. Ron has also held executive engineering roles at MuleSoft, Siebel Systems, and Oracle Corporation. Ron holds a BS Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
