YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Turning Technologies, the global leader in interactive learning, engagement and assessment solutions, is extending an invitation to preview and test an entirely web-based version of its flagship TurningPoint interactive polling software. The new software will be launched later this spring, but feedback from initial users has been so positive that Turning Technologies has decided to provide a pre-production release.
TurningPoint web will let instructors store and manage results entirely online. Its many benefits include:
- Native PowerPoint integration through a light and easy-to-use PowerPoint add-in
- Native support for clickers as well as mobile devices
- The immediate and automated transfer of all results to a web-based reporting tool
- The ability to build content and facilitate discussions using a completely web-based solution
- The delivery of interactive content at any time through the creation of scheduled surveys and assessments
The scheduling capability allows instructors and trainers to schedule homework questions, quizzes and surveys, which participants can complete at times most convenient for them.
"TurningPoint web was designed based on client feedback and allows instructors to combine classroom polling results with surveys and assessments from outside the classroom," said CEO Ethan Cohen. "Since many of our clients depend upon PowerPoint and clickers, we have also included a light, intuitive and reliable PowerPoint add-in as well as web-based clicker support. Additionally, we have streamlined the process for managing results by automating the transfer of information to an easy-to-use, web-based reporting tool."
Turning Technologies is hosting webinars at the end of this month for those who want to learn more about TurningPoint web. These will take place on March 26 and March 27 for those in higher education, and on March 28 and March 29 for corporate, government and military markets. Webinars start at 2 p.m. EDT. Sign up here.
Webinar registrants will also learn how to obtain a pre-release test for hands-on experience with TurningPoint web for PowerPoint.
The company will continue to support and enhance both TurningPoint desktop and TurningPoint web. TurningPoint desktop already supports a hybrid model where participants can respond to polling questions with a clicker or mobile device in the same environment. TurningPoint web will also support a hybrid model starting in June.
