Turner Construction Company Contracts with Brookfield Properties for $23 Million Renovation of Fig at 7th in Downtown LA

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Construction Company is pleased to announce that it recently contracted with Brookfield Properties to provide general contracting services for the renovation of the retail mall in downtown Los Angeles.  The project, recently branded as Fig at 7th, also launched http://figat7th.net/ this week.  Located at 735 South Figueroa Street, the $23 million renovation is one of the ways that Turner Construction Company's Southern California business unit is helping to build a brighter future for Los Angeles.  

The Fig at 7th project includes the full renovation of a 3-story, 330,000 square foot retail mall. Turner Construction Company will demolish the existing slab flooring, guardrails, escalators, elevators, interior and exterior finishes, and signage, and install new flooring, new monumental stairs, escalators, finishes, paving, signage, demising walls, and temporary storefronts.  Turner Construction Company will also provide modifications to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.  Designed by Gensler, the renovations are scheduled to be complete May 2012.
