LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa., Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Turkey Hill Dairy last fall announced an opportunity for fans to create a design to transform one of the company's most iconic symbols - its 13-foot-tall traveling Giant Cow. The entries have been narrowed to five finalists, and now the Dairy is asking fans to go to turkeyhill.com/giantcowmakeover and vote for their favorite design. The design with the most votes will be named the grand prize winner, and the design will be featured on one of the Dairy's Giant Cows.
More than 1,400 submissions were received by the Dairy. Entries were submitted from fans of all ages from across the United States. The five finalists are Richard Marquette of Spring Grove, PA, Caitlin McCabe of Ambler, PA, Jennifer Utlak of Greenville, PA, Donna E. McKenna of Norwood, PA and Stephanie Orts of Seymour, CT. The four finalists not selected as the grand prize winner will each receive a one-month supply of Turkey Hill Ice Cream, a gift basket full of various Turkey Hill items and free admission for themselves and three guests to the Turkey Hill Experience, Lancaster County's newest visitor's destination, which highlights the ice cream making process and the history of Turkey Hill Dairy.
Online voting will take place during February. Visitors can vote once a day. Based on voting, a grand prize winner will be selected in early March. The grand prize winner will receive a one-year supply of Turkey Hill Ice Cream, an ice cream party at his or her neighborhood with the Giant Cow in attendance, a two-night stay in a Lancaster County bed & breakfast and VIP passes to attend the Turkey Hill Experience grand opening celebrations. And of course, the winner's design will be displayed on a Giant Cow as it travels the country!
