Turing Pharmaceuticals AG Announces Appointment of Ron Tilles as Interim CEO
ZUG, Switzerland, Dec. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Turing Pharmaceuticals AG, a privately-held biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing innovative treatments for serious diseases and conditions, today announced the resignation of Martin Shkreli from the position of Chief Executive Officer and the appointment of Ron Tilles to the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Tilles will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Ron Tilles has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turing Pharmaceuticals since the company launched late last year. Mr. Tilles began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1985 and subsequently worked with several other securities firms. Ron's experience includes numerous private equity and venture capital positions in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries over the last 20 years. He earned his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College in Vermont and his Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University in New York.
