Turbine Generator Maintenance, Inc. (TGM, Inc.) Offers Full-Service Generator Capabilities
CAPE CORAL, Fla., May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Turbine Generator Maintenance, Inc. (TGM), independent provider of inspection, maintenance, and repair services for steam and gas turbines, now offers a full array of generator inspection, testing, analysis services, and on-site repairs for both stator and rotating components.
Since 1986, TGM has offered inspection and repair services on turbines and, in 2010, expanded their services to include both air and gas-cooled generators. Mr. Ben Irvine, Director of Generator Services, has 17 years of large turbo generator experience from General Electric, Wood Group Generator Services (now TurboCare Generator Services), and a major U.S. utility prior to joining TGM. TGM performs generator services on units up to 300 MVA for GE, Westinghouse, MHI, Brush, and Alstom units.
No one single test or inspection will provide comprehensive information on machine condition. Therefore, TGM utilizes a variety of tests and inspections—off-line and on-line tests and visual inspections—to evaluate the condition of generators to establish future maintenance and repair programs. TGM offers a full array of testing services on the generator stator and rotor including high voltage testing, Doble, ELCID, wedge mapping, DLRO, partial discharge, FFA winding analysis, pole balance, STIIT, and insulation resistance tests. Most of the tests can be performed with only partial generator disassembly. Repair services including CO2 cleaning, insulation repairs, stator wedging, retaining ring removal and end winding repairs can be completed without removing components off-site.
Our Generator Reliability Programs (GRPs) allow customers to schedule generator testing and maintenance with turbine maintenance or repair, coordinating scheduled testing to minimize downtime. TGM offers four programs designed to meet individual site and unit needs. These programs range from a one-day borescope inspection to extensive five-day cleaning/inspection/testing/and analysis.
Turbine Generator Maintenance, Inc. (www.turbinegenerator.com) is headquartered in Cape Coral, Florida and has their Training and Logistics Center in Knoxville, TN. Additionally, field teams and offices are located throughout the United States, Caribbean, and South America.
