NEW YORK, March 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tupperware and James Beard award-winning chef Michael White, of the acclaimed restaurants Marea, Ai Fiori and Osteria Morini, launched a two-day, pop-up dining experience called The TupperClub with a star-studded evening that included musicians John Legend, Ashanti and Deborah Cox; actress Caroline Rhea; designer Nanette Lepore, and football stars Dhani Jones and Jonathan Goff. The invitation-only event, which concludes tonight in the penthouse of New York's Setai Hotel, is aimed at bringing back the art of conversation.

Chef White prepared dishes meant to spark discussion, including Nova Scotia lobster with burrata, eggplant al funghetto and basil; cavatelli with shrimp, calamari and basil; and loin of veal with cipollini onions, endive and pancetta cream sauce. The meal was prepared using a variety of innovative Tupperware products such as the Quick Chef hand-operated, electricity-free food processor and high-end Chef Series™ knives and cookware. The evening concluded with John Legend and Deborah Cox dueting on "The Promise," a song they co-wrote on her 2008 album of the same name.
All attendees left with a Tupperware gift bag that featured original recipes from Chef White that can be made at home with the included products to re-create the TupperClub experience. The recipes are also available on http://www.facebook.com/TupperwareBrandsCorp.
For the second night of the TupperClub, four invitations were sent to two winners of a contest sponsored by food blog EaterNY, in which readers were asked for haiku submissions recounting an awkward dinner party experience.
