ATLANTA, Aug. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tulix Systems, a leading provider of over-the-top (OTT) streaming solutions and end-to-end IPTV systems, today announced the official launch of its TNA streaming platform, a proprietary system it developed to deliver content via its CDN with the highest possible scalability, stability, and performance.
During the past year, Tulix has successfully deployed TNA as the primary streaming platform for most of its larger multi-channel IPTV customers. The company has also added a web-based control panel for the system that includes a number of powerful features, including the ability to push or pull live sources, HLS output stream generation, token authentication security, geoIP restrictions, and detailed analytics.
The TNA streaming architecture was engineered by Tulix to meet the needs of its IPTV customers, for whom the scalability and stability of the streaming infrastructure are essential. "Using the TNA platform, we can support hundreds of live channels and thousands of concurrent viewers on just one piece of hardware," said Nino Doijashvili, EVP of Tulix Systems.
In addition, live streams delivered using the TNA platform have a noticeably rapid response time when compared to streams originating from the most commonly used commercial streaming servers. This benefit is most apparent at long distances from a stream's point of origin and in areas with suboptimal internet connections.
Until recently, channel configuration and management on the TNA platform was performed by Tulix's staff. With the new user interface, IPTV operators can create new streams, enable security to prevent link theft, block access to streams in specific countries, view statistics, and more.
"These new features make TNA the most comprehensive and user-friendly platform for managing hundreds of live streams on the market," added Doijashvili. "Our plans are to migrate the majority of our customers to TNA in the coming months and make it even more powerful by adding VOD, DVR, and other functionality." With the added user interface, TNA is now available as a stand-alone product and can be deployed independently at any location if not used on Tulix's CDN.
