TubeMogul Opens Doors in Downtown Detroit's M@dison Building
California company TubeMogul joins the growing list of startups to open up in downtown Detroit's burgeoning technology hub
DETROIT, May 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TubeMogul, the leader in programmatic branding and one of the fastest-growing companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, is the latest in a growing number of startup companies to open an office in Detroit's burgeoning technology hub.
For TubeMogul, which has run video advertising campaigns for all of Michigan's top automotive brands in the past year, establishing a presence in the newly-renovated M@dison Building in the heart of downtown Detroit was an easy decision.
"We are excited to be part of what is happening in Detroit, which is quickly becoming the place to be for tech start-ups," explains Brett Wilson, CEO and Co-Founder of TubeMogul. "Programmatic buying and delivery of video ads is changing the game for brand marketers, and automotive brands were among the first to realize that."
TubeMogul is one of a few advertising technology companies located in the building, a vote of confidence given the intense process that evaluates a firm's ability to contribute to technological and digital innovation in Detroit. The new office, which opened earlier this year, is already growing rapidly, and the team there is poised to double within the next year.
Detroit Venture Partners, a venture capital firm that invests in seed and early-stage technology companies, helped recruit TubeMogul to downtown Detroit and brokered the company's lease in Rock Ventures' M@dison Building.
TubeMogul's move to Detroit comes within weeks after San Francisco-based Uber Technologies, a mobile platform connecting passengers with drivers of luxury vehicles for hire, opened its office in the M@dison Building.
"TubeMogul is a great example of the type of company we are looking to attract with our vision for downtown Detroit," said Jacob Cohen, Vice President of Detroit Venture Partners.
