TSI Incorporated, a leading manufacturer of precision measurement instrumentation, is holding its annual spring and fall Fluid Mechanics Training Workshops
SHOREVIEW, Minn., Feb. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- TSI Incorporated, a leading manufacturer of precision measurement instrumentation, is holding its annual spring and fall Fluid Mechanics Training Workshops. There are two hands-on workshops: one exploring the set-up and use of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Volumetric 3D Velocimetry (V3V) systems; the other exploring Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV) and Phase Doppler Particle Analysis (PDPA) systems.
Participants in the PIV/V3V workshop will learn how to set up complete TSI PIV systems for planar 2D and 3D velocity measurements, using the systems to capture and analyze images. Part of the workshop will include set-up and operation of the new 4-Camera Volumetric PIV system.
"Get your hands on the most innovative volumetric PIV system, and get amazing results showing 3D velocity field in a volume," said Wing Lai, Fluid Mechanics product specialist at TSI.
PIV/V3V workshops run April 18 - 19, 2016, as well as September 26 - 27, 2016.
The LDV/PDPA workshop will teach participants to set up and operate the PowerSight 2-component LDV, capturing velocity measurements. Attendees will also learn how to set up and operate a PowerSight 2-component PDPA system, capturing both velocity and size measurements for a spray.
LDV/PDPA workshops run April 20 - 21, 2016, as well as September 28 - 29, 2016.
All workshops will be held at TSI Headquarters, 500 Cardigan Road, Shoreview, MN 55126. Cost for a single workshop is $500 ($600 if registering after April 8th or September 16th, 2016); cost for both workshops is $900 ($1000 if registering after April 8th or September 16th, 2016).
