Tsawwassen Mills celebrates its grand opening - New pre-certified LEED® Canada retail destination offers unparalleled shopping experience in Greater Vancouver

TSAWWASSEN, BC, Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ - Tsawwassen Mills, the newest shopping centre in Greater Vancouver and the largest built in Canada since 2009, officially opened its doors at 10 a.m. this morning.

Among those in attendance at the grand opening event were Ivanhoé Cambridge executives, Tsawwassen First Nation Chief Bryce Williams and the Honourable John Rustad, British Columbia Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation. The event was also attended by a large crowd of enthusiastic shoppers who began lining up early in the morning to take advantage of special Grand Opening giveaways, contests and sales.

Tsawwassen Mills is a fully-enclosed centre with five distinct shopping neighbourhoods – Fashion, Outdoor Life, Coast Salish, City, and Nature – each featuring its own custom artwork and design elements. 180 brands are confirmed, including 18 that are first-to-market such as: Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, DSW–Designer Shoe Warehouse, Pro Hockey Life, Saks OFF 5TH, The Outlet by Harry Rosen, Michael Kors Outlet, lululemon athletica outlet, Browns Outlet and more.
The centre includes a 1,100-seat food hall, four traditional sit-down restaurants, a children's play area, a sports dome and six public entrances, each with its own special design features. Additionally, several stores offer unique entertainment options, including a skate park in West 49 and a themed bowling alley in Bass Pro Shops.
