TRW Strengthens Position In Growing SUV Market In China
SHANGHAI, April 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Stand 5BJ211, Hall 5.2, Auto Shanghai -- TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. (NYSE: TRW) is using its Auto Shanghai exhibit stand as a platform to showcase its range of automotive safety technologies launching on several sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in China – the fastest growing vehicle segment in the region.
TRW recently launched a full suite of automotive safety systems on the GAC GS5 Super/GA6 including electric park brake (EPB), driver airbag, seat belts, steering wheels and airbag control units, and on the Ford Kuga which features TRW's electrically powered steering belt drive (EPS-BD.
A number of SUVs are also being unveiled at the show with content from TRW such as Great Wall's Haval H7 featuring TRW's EPS-BD and seat belts, the Haval H9 with TRW's EPB, Changan's CS35 with TRW's EPS Column Drive (EPS-CD) system and the CS75 with TRW's EPB, and the new Jeep Renegade which is fitted with TRW's integrated EPB, electronic stability control (ESC), EPS-CD, passenger and side airbags and seat belts.
