TrustHCS Taps Alice Zentner to Head ICD-10 Training and Education Services
Company ramps up coding division in advance of healthcare industry's massive shift to ICD-10
BALTIMORE, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TrustHCS(SM), an HIM, compliance and revenue cycle consultancy firm for healthcare providers, proudly announces that Alice O. Zentner, RHIA, will be joining them as the Director of Auditing and Education where she will be responsible for heading up the firm's new ICD-10 Training and Education Services offering. The announcement was made by Torrey Barnhouse, Chief Executive Officer, at the annual AHIMA ICD-10 Summit held in Baltimore, Maryland, where the company is an official event sponsor.
"Monumental change demands dynamic leadership and close collaboration with clients," mentions Barnhouse. "Alice has proven leadership capabilities, educational experience and professional expertise in both clinical documentation improvement (CDI) and health information management (HIM)." In her new role, Ms. Zentner will provide timely assistance and leadership to TrustHCS clients in an era of unprecedented change by assisting each in the development and execution of ICD-10 training and education budgets, project plans and staff assessments. Zentner's recent experience in CDI will be a valuable asset to TrustHCS clients as deeper granularity and specificity in physician documentation is a required element for ICD-10 success.
"I've worked in healthcare since 1989 as a coding specialist, director of coding services, revenue integrity officer and adjunct professor," states Zentner. "During my entire career I've never been as energized or prepared for a transition as I am now," she adds. "Joining TrustHCS provides the venue for me to use my skills, education and experience to help HIM departments not only survive, but thrive the move to ICD-10. Improved processes, deeper knowledge, and stronger physician, revenue cycle and CDI relationships will become ICD-10's silver lining for every TrustHCS client," she concludes.
TrustHCS offers a series of educational modules that tie to a hospital's three-four year strategic plan for ICD-10 transition, and their services are economically priced for any size organization. Furthermore, revenue recognition is expected to lag for quite some time following ICD-10 implementation as providers adjust to new coding structures and finer documentation granularity. TrustHCS services can minimize that drop and even fill in staffing to eliminate the issue.
