Trustees of Eaton Vance Limited Duration Income Fund Approve Change in Investment Policies
BOSTON, April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Trustees of Eaton Vance Limited Duration Income Fund, a diversified closed-end investment company (NYSE Amex: EVV) (the "Fund"), have approved a change to the Fund's investment policies. The Fund currently invests at least 50% of its total assets in two investment categories: (i) mortgage-backed securities that are issued, backed or otherwise guaranteed by the U.S. Government or its agencies or instrumentalities or that are issued by private issuers ("MBS") and (ii) investments rated below investment grade, which include (but are not limited to) senior loans and high yield bonds. The balance of the Fund's assets may include, among other securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, unsecured loans, investment grade fixed income debt obligations and money market instruments. Under the new policies, the Fund will continue to invest at least 50% of its total assets in the two investment categories described above; however, the MBS category is expanded to include U.S. Treasuries and other securities issued, backed or otherwise guaranteed by the U.S. Government or its agencies or instrumentalities. The change to the Fund's investment policies to allow for investment in other U.S. Government securities is intended to increase the Fund's investment flexibility in pursuing its investment objective.
