AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- TrustArc, the leading data privacy management company, today announced two significant enhancements to the TrustArc Privacy Platform: Intelligent Assessments and Compliance Reporting. With these two new additions, TrustArc is significantly reducing the amount of time required to complete compliance reviews and manage privacy programs.
The TrustArc Platform provides end to end privacy management through a series of modules designed to address a wide range of privacy functions, including data inventory and mapping; privacy risk assessments; consent management; and individual rights and data subject rights requests. The new additions to the platform include:
Intelligent Content Library
The Assessment Manager module of the TrustArc Privacy Platform has been enhanced to include an expanded intelligent content library to address a variety of compliance use cases, including the following privacy assessments:
- Inherent Risk
- DPIA Controls
- Consent
- Legitimate Interests
- Right to Object
- Third Party Risk
- International Data Transfer
- Automated Decision Making
The new assessments feature a revolutionary modular design that intelligently matches the assessments to the unique requirements of a business in real time, significantly reducing the amount of time required to complete the compliance review process. Developed by TrustArc privacy experts in conjunction with input from leading privacy organizations, the assessments include remediation guidance to address any identified gaps.
Compliance Reporting and Dashboard
The Data Flow Manager module of the TrustArc Privacy Platform has been enhanced to include a dashboard summarizing key program metrics such as types of records, data classification and record assessment status. The new dashboard makes managing a compliance program easier and is complemented by extensive search and filter capabilities, enabling users to quickly locate important information regarding vendors, IT systems and data use across the company.
In addition, the Assessment Manager module of the platform now includes a comprehensive, highly visual GDPR Article 35 DPIA report that includes:
- Risk heat map
- Controls effectiveness score
- Inherent risk
- Residual risk
- Summary of processing purposes and data types
The report is intelligently calculated, assembled from various data sources, and then exported into a PDF format, which can be easily shared with internal stakeholders and regulators.
Chris Babel, CEO TrustArc commented, "As privacy compliance continues to become more complex, the need for new tools to simplify privacy management is growing. While the GDPR has been the topic getting the most attention, the CCPA, ePrivacy Regulation and other regional privacy regulations are impacting the ability of businesses to operate globally. We are excited to further enhance the TrustArc Platform with these new capabilities, automating the privacy review and compliance reporting process."
