Truphone Appoints New Head of U.S. Sales

DURHAM, N.C., Dec. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Truphone, the global mobile operator without country borders, today announced it has named a new head of its U.S. sales organization and will expand its market presence by significantly increasing its sales team to better support the international mobility requirements of businesses throughout the country. 

Guy Gettens has been named vice president of Sales for Truphone Americas.  He is responsible for managing all business sales activities throughout the U.S. and will be based at Truphone's new sales headquarters located in New York City.   Prior to joining Truphone, Gettens was Director of Global Accounts at IPC Systems, Inc., provider of telecommunications solutions for financial trading.  With a background in global communications, Gettens brings extensive experience in managing telecom expenses for businesses, helping companies such as Cisco, BT and Computer Sciences Corporation control their communications use and costs.

Truphone is rapidly expanding its national sales presence by establishing regional sales hubs in major markets across the country.  Initial locations include New York, Houston and San Francisco, with additional sales offices to be opened throughout 2014.
