Trump Administration Poised To Tackle Children's Online Safety

WASHINGTON, Jan. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Enough Is Enough (EIE), a bi-partisan organization dedicated to making the Internet safer for children and families, is positioned to work alongside the Trump administration in advancing the tenets of The Children's Internet Safety Presidential Pledge, which was signed by then candidate Donald J. Trump on July 16, 2016.

The Pledge also calls for the necessary resources and tools to prosecute such crimes, the establishment of public-private partnerships to step up voluntary efforts to reduce these threats, and the appointment of a  multi-sector Presidential Commission to identify effective strategies for protecting children in the digital age.

At the recommendation of a senior official on Trump's transition team, EIE developed The Children's Internet Safety Presidential Proposal (CISSP), which incorporates the tenets of The Pledge and is supplemented by additional recommendations by EIE and other NGO groups including the establishment of the President's Interagency Internet Safety Working Group and an Internet Safety Industry Advisory Council.
