The Performance Scorecards grade each manufacturer and brand on eight different measurements including pricing, sales, incentives, customer loyalty, market share and days in inventory data.

Overall, the top manufacturers on the Scorecards in March were Porsche, Hyundai, Nissan, and BMW. Near the bottom of the list were Honda, Toyota and Daimler. The brands that received the highest grades are Scion, smart and Porsche and the brands with the lowest grades were Honda, Chrysler and Toyota.
The biggest gainers among manufacturers, from February 2011 to March 2011 were:
- BMW moving from a C+ to an A-
- Nissan moving from a B+ to an A
- Saab moving from a D to a C-
The biggest decliners among manufacturers, from February 2011 to March 2011 were:
- Toyota moving from a C+ to a D+
- GM moving from an A to a C+
- Honda moving from a C to a D
"Porsche and Hyundai were able to increase their sales while lowering discounts and improving how fast they turn their inventory; a best case scenario for any automaker," said Jesse Toprak, VP of Industry Trends and Insights at TrueCar.com.
