The Performance Scorecards grade each manufacturer and brand on eight different measurements including pricing, sales, incentives, customer loyalty, market share and days in inventory data.

Overall, the top four manufacturers on the Scorecards in January were Porsche, Subaru, Jaguar Land Rover and Daimler. Near the bottom of the list were Saab, Mazda and Nissan. The brands that received the highest grades are Porsche, Buick and Subaru while Mercury had the only failing grade.
The biggest gainers among manufacturers, from December 2010 to January 2011 were:
- Porsche moving from a C+ to an A+
- Mitsubishi moving from a D+ to a C+
- Volvo moving from a D to a C
The biggest decliners among manufacturers, from December 2010 to January 2011 were:
