SAN DIEGO, Oct. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, American Trucking Associations President and CEO Bill Graves, along with ATA's incoming and outgoing chairmen, opened the Management Conference & Exhibition's grand exhibit hall.
"The trucking industry relies on a robust supplier community to do the important work we do," ATA President and CEO Bill Graves said. "We're always extremely pleased to see the advances they're making to improve trucking safety, sustainability and profitability demonstrated on our exhibit hall floor."
Graves was joined for the ceremonial ribbon cutting, sponsored by Lytx Inc., by outgoing ATA Chairman Phil Byrd, president of Bulldog Hiway Express, Charleston, S.C., incoming ATA Chairman Duane Long, chairman of Longistics, Raleigh, N.C. and Lytx chairman and CEO Brandon Nixon.
"Now more than ever, companies are looking for an edge and more often than not, that edge is found out here on the MC&E exhibit hall floor," Byrd said.
"I am always fascinated by the variety of technologies and services on display here," said Long. "Without the efforts of our supplier community, it would be impossible to do our job of delivering America's most essential goods so we thank them for their efforts and for being here today."
The hall features nearly 170 exhibitors, including 20 companies exhibiting for the first time.
