Trucking Industry Leaders Open MCE 2016 Exhibit Hall
Hall to Host 170 Exhibitors, ATA General Sessions
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, American Trucking Associations President and CEO Chris Spear, along with the Federation's incoming and outgoing chairmen, cut the ribbon to open the Management Conference & Exhibition's grand exhibit hall.
"The important work of moving America's freight, and representing America's trucking industry would be impossible without the support of our suppliers and allied members," Spear said. "That is why the MCE, and in particular, the exhibit hall are so important. They give our motor carrier members a chance to meet with our allied partners and see the latest technologies aimed at making their fleets safer and more efficient."
Spear was joined for the ceremonial ribbon cutting, sponsored by EROAD, by outgoing ATA Chairman Pat Thomas, senior vice president of state government affairs for UPS, incoming ATA Chairman Kevin Burch, president of Jet Express Inc., and EROAD COO Jarred Clayton, as well as the rest of ATA's leadership team: ATA First Vice Chairman Dave Manning, president of TCW Inc., Vice Chairmen Barry Pottle, CEO of Pottle's Transportation, and Sherri Brumbaugh, president and CEO of Garner Trucking, ATA Secretary John Smith, chairman of CRST International Inc., and Mike Ducker, president and CEO of FedEx Freight.
"I am consistently impressed with what our supplier community offers MCE attendees on the Exhibit Hall floor. It is just one of the things that makes MCE a unique and must-attend meeting for ATA's members," Thomas said.
"While trucking moves America forward, the products and services displayed on the Exhibit Hall floor keep our trucks moving," Burch said. "Without their support, we would be unable to do our jobs safely and efficiently, so we greatly appreciate all they do."
The 182,000-square-foot hall features 170 exhibitors, including 45 first-time exhibitors, and will be open through October 4.
