TriWest Healthcare Alliance Awarded 4-Year MATO Contract
Company's 'Mission to Serve' Extends to Patient Appointing Services
PHOENIX, July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the past 15 years, TriWest Healthcare Alliance has been on a 'Mission to Serve' America's military families in the 21-state TRICARE West Region. Today, that mission extends to support the U.S. Army's Patient Appointing function at Munson Army Health Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
The four-year contract begins November 1, 2011, and runs through November 30, 2015, and is anticipated to support approximately 20,000 beneficiaries in securing appointments for a range of preventive, general and specialty healthcare services.
"This opportunity allows TriWest to bring our 'Whatever It Takes' attitude and resources to further assist military families in accessing the care and services they need—when they need them the most," said TriWest President and CEO David J. McIntyre, Jr.
The contract was awarded under the Army Patient Appointing MATO (Multiple Award Task Order) Contract, which TriWest was awarded in December 2010.
